Wedding Invitations - Choosing the Right Text and the Right Design
Wedding invitations are always important in any wedding celebration, however preparing the invites goes beyond choosing which design or color theme to go for. You also need to consider what paper material to choose, how many you need to send, and what you need to include as your text in the invitation. Also you need to send out the invitations early, so as to give your guests ample time in preparing for the wedding occasion. Six weeks before the actual occasion is an ideal time in sending out the invitations, so that guests residing out of town can make the needed travel arrangements.
Choosing a design is important, and the design should be able to reflect your own taste as well as the theme of the wedding. There are many designs for wedding invitations found online, if you don’t want to go to an actual invitation store to browse for designs. You can go for the classic design, the more whimsical, romantic, or more casual and laid-back. Simple but elegant designs are also doing a comeback, and if you want a wedding invite that is both minimalist and creative you can always go for the more subtle yet modern designs.
Finally, choosing the text is also important. As much as possible, choose your own voice for the invitations. If you must use a generic approach, make sure that you inject a bit of personality into the invitation as well. There are formal and informal means in announcing the wedding and you need to decide beforehand whether the invitation should be more formal or informal. The wedding can be announced in the invitation by the couple themselves or by the parents or the bride and groom. Important details such as the date, time, and venue of the wedding should also be spelled out in the wedding invitations.
