If you must use a generic approach, make sure that you inject a bit of personality into the invitation as well. There are formal and informal means in announcing the wedding and you need to decide beforehand whether the invitation should be more formal or informal. The wedding can be announced in the invitation by the couple themselves or by the parents or the bride and groom. Important details such as the date, time, and venue of the wedding should also be spelled out in the wedding invitations.
