Using Your Own Voice in Your Wedding Invitation
In creating wedding invitations, you can simply add generic messages so things will be easier for you; however, it is always best to use your own words. That is simply being original. Using your own voice in your wedding invitation will give you the chance to describe your wedding in the most excellent manner. By doing so, you can also express the importance of your guests’ presence on your wedding day.
Below are some of the things that you should consider in creating the content of your invites:
• Composing words for your wedding invitation can be very confusing. To resolve this, you should decide who will be announcing the wedding – will they be the groom and bride themselves or will they be their parents.
• If the venue of the wedding is a church, you should use the term “the honor of your presence”. If the ceremony will be held somewhere else, you can use less formal terms like “please join us”, “the pleasure of your company” and so on.
• You can opt to write the numeric figure of the date and time of the ceremony; however, it is advisable to write them in words to ensure that the guests will get the message right.
As much as possible, distribute your wedding invites at least 6 weeks before the date of your wedding. This will give your guests enough time to prepare for the occasion. If the venue is a bit far, they will have enough time as well to make arrangements for their trip.
Include a reply card so you will be aware of how many guests will come to the ceremony. It is also wise to insert a site map to ensure that your guests will not get lost. That will also help them save time if in case they are not familiar with the place.
