Helpful Pointers on Wedding Invitations
There are many concepts for wedding invitations ranging from the most traditional and classic all the way to unique and alternative designs. The choice primarily depends on the personalities and preference of the groom and bride, wedding theme and the colour motif. However, regardless of how your wedding invitation looks like, there are several important pointers that you have to keep in mind when preparing them. You have to pay particular attention to the details that you have to write.
First thing that you have to put in your wedding invites are the complete names of the groom and bride followed by the date, time and venue of the wedding. If you want to make your wedding invitations very formal and for ethical purposes as well, you should write the date and time in words instead of numbers and without abbreviations. Write the name of the officiating priest, pastor or judge who will do the wedding rites or ceremony.
Indicate where the wedding reception will follow including the time. Mention your preferred dress code for your guests (example; strictly formal, semi-formal, beach attire etc.) or if you want to follow a particular motif or theme. It would also be helpful to include small maps that will serve as the direction to your wedding venue and reception. This will be beneficial to your guests.
If you are planning to include the names of your entourage on your wedding invites, be sure to write their full names (example; best man and maid of honour, bride’s maid). Do not use their nicknames to address them. Lastly, write the full names of the person or persons to whom the invitation is for. Avoid misspelling the names to maintain formality and proper etiquette. Lastly, address the persons properly (example; Attorney, Doctor, His Excellency, Mr. and Mrs. Honourable etc.)
Finally, on the bottom part, indicate the RSVP.

I was just chatting with my friend about this the other day at lunch . Don’t remember how we got on the topic really, they brought it up. I do remember having a excellent steak salad with sunflower seeds on it. I digress…
