Creating a Unique and Affordable Wedding Invitation
If you want to come up with a nice wedding invitations but you are cutting down on your expenses, you can consider creating your own unique concept of wedding invites. This can save you enough money on designer’s fee, materials and services. All you have to do is to use your creativity, resourcefulness and to buy the raw materials you will need from a school and office supply store.
First thing to do is to research online for a concept, theme or design that you can use as a benchmark. Choose something that closely resembles your wedding theme and start working from there. Search online for patterns for a wedding invitation. Get as much idea as you can as well as pointers. From there, you can come up with your own unique layout. You also have the power to choose the fonts you like and the colour scheme. After coming up with a concept, layout, fonts and pattern; make sure that all your materials are complete.
The basic materials you will need to come up with your own wedding invitation is of course a computer and printer, make sure that you have quality ink for your printer to achieve good print outs; specialty paper that you can purchase from office supplies or stationery stores, there are various designs, colours and textures to choose from; scissors or a cutter, envelopes that match the finished product (if you prefer) and probably some ribbons or other design materials for final touches based on your preference but these are optional as you can use various elements to match your wedding theme.
Be as creative as you want. For instance, you may choose to design your wedding invitation with your pre-nuptial photos. If you are having a beach wedding, you can use other concepts such as a message-in-a-bottle invitation decorated with sand and tiny pieces of shells. You may use parchment paper and scroll as well. The possibilities are endless with a little creativity and imagination.
