How do you find a photographer?
- Ask other wedding vendors for who they recommend
- Go to the local Bridal Shows
- Get a referral from a friend who has already been married
- Look in the phone book yellow pages under photography
Who do I choose?
A photographer you choosed is who will be spending the majority of your wedding day with you,so whether you like the person or not is imperative.A good photographer will not to be pushy and dominate your time on your Wedding Day, who will be confident about their work and will stay in the background when traditional posed photos are not being taken.
What’s the best way for me to decide?
Always have a face to face meeting with your potential photographer and look at their work that you will get to know your photographer and see what types of photography you will be receiving for your money.
What do you mean by “types” of wedding photography?
- Traditional photography suits most weddings,which includes portraits of bridal party and family - close-up and full length - and candid photographs that tell the story of the day.
- Wedding photojournalism means no posed photographs which all pictures would be taken without any instruction from or awareness of the photographer.
- Illustrative photography with drama, grand poses and majestic scenery. Every detail in the image is carefully arranged to produce a photograph with impact.
- The Creative or impressionistic photographer creates images with the unusual angle or juxtaposition which is creating his or her artistic impression of your wedding day and with the goal to produce a limited number of art prints from your wedding.
It is an elegant way to capture some Photojournalism type of photographs for black and white photography.
